Corporate Responsibility

Together we can achieve ...

Sprunt’s aim is to provide sustainable architecture which contributes positively to the future of our communities.

We will design sustainable buildings and communities which:

  • Minimise and mitigate the negative impacts of construction on the planet’s resources through clearly thought through and expertly advised design solutions;
  • Incorporate sustainable practices into everyday working procedures so that they are an integral part of the design process.

We will approach each of our environmental impacts whether direct or indirect with a strategy for continuous improvement, training and educating staff, clients and our supply chain.

We will comply with legislation and lead our field in striving for solutions which exceed legislative requirements.

We will monitor and report on our impacts against industry standards and domestic targets.

Sprunt has identified four significant environmental aspects (SEA)

Health and well being.   Sprunt will work to create pleasant places to live, encouraging new life through biodiversity and preserving protected species. We will aim to enhance the quality of life by promoting environmental sustainability, personal empowerment and responsibility and a sustainable social environment.  Sprunt will protect the health and well being of our employees through our commitment to promoting comfort at work and encouraging a sensible work-life balance;

Emissions:  We will reduce carbon output from our office operations and through our designs.  Sprunt will work closely with our clients, sub-consultants and staff to ensure responsible solutions are proposed;

Energy:  We will mitigate the energy demands of all our projects and recommend practical and best practice in renewable and efficient heat and power strategies;

Raw materials and waste: We will include clauses in our specification to prevent use of toxic materials by 2010 and promote the use of sustainable materials.
