White Arkitekter, one of the designers of Hammarby Sjöstad, the 200 ha sustainable community in Stockholm, has over 500 employees and a strong aspiration to deliver Scandinavian design in the UK.
Recognising the need to have local market knowledge, Sprunt has been selected as one of White's entry partners. Sprunt is the first partner to sign a formal collaboration agreement with White, targeting Higher and Further Education, Building Schools for the Future, Healthcare, and large scale Masterplanning projects spanning urban regeneration, education and health.
Excited by the new venture, Robert Sprunt comments, "This joint venture partnership provides a great opportunity for both companies. As a team we will bring best practice Scandandivan solutions to the UK, from globally recognised environmental design achievements in urban and estate regeneration to the latest thinking in pedagogy and space planning in schools and colleges. This combined with our own successes in education, health and housing will result in elegant but affordable design solutions from concept to completion.
