Since April 2000, when Sprunt was appointed via an OJEU process, the Sprunt team has worked on site alongside Lambeth's Asset Management, Planning and Development Section (AMPD) to deliver an annual capital programme, which has grown to around £20m.
Commissioned work has ranged from small schemes to completely new primary schools. Sprunt has developed programmes based on information such as condition, suitability and sufficiency surveys and then delivered the projects by managing teams of external professionals.
Roger Morris, who is Sprunt's Director in Charge at Lambeth said:
"The knowledge our team has accumulated over the years has been invaluable and has enabled us to provide substantial added value to our client. It is an excellent example of what we call ‘co-creation' - working closely with our client to produce results over which both consultant and client feel ownership".
Over the past nine years, the Sprunt and Lambeth relationship has been extremely productive with many landmark successes along the way. These include the creation of three new primary schools under the Primary School Development Strategy, the completion of six sports and arts related schemes funded by Sport England and fifteen children centre schemes funded by the DCSF.
